To do or not to do, want I want to do, I do not do,... do do

I just read Junior's blog about just do it and it brought to mind a time in my life where I described the way I was living as a three ring circus.

You know acting a certain way around my church friends, another around my work friends, and yet another way around my family. I am not saying that I have a handle on all rings but narrowing my friends down to Christians has almost eliminated one of the rings. I still need to work on how I act around my family mainly because of the comfort level they provide but I am getting better slowly but Shirley.

I had to make a couple of phone calls to find out where this verse in the Bible is because I wanted to include it in my blog, but it is in Romans 7: starting about v.15 through about v.21 http://www.searchgodsword.org/desk/?language=en&query=romans+7%3A14-21&section=2&translation=nas&oq=wretched&new=1&sr=1 (thanks Denise)

It so sounds like me at times. I don't know why I am doing what I am doing, it's not what I want to do, for the thing I am doing is the very thing I hate I may not directly hate the thing I am doing specifically, but what I am doing is hurting God and I hate that. v.20 Says that if I do the very thing that I do not wish, that it is no longer me doing it but the sin that dwells within me. Reading this chapter can get a little confusing, but read is slowly, often and to the end because it is v.24, 25 & 8:1 that give us wretched humans victory over the bondage of sin. Amen!

Remember that the pursuit of holiness is never ending in this life it will have its' ups and downs and we will never achieve what God wants us to but He loves us regaurdless and will see us through.

Very true and honest Jeremy. I am so glad you shared this with us because there are many times when I think all of us have been able to relate to this feeling. Thanks for being so open to us and allowing your life experiences make us reflect upon our own so that we can grow stronger. Keep up the good work man!

Remember if you ever need someone to talk to about trials and tribulations, I'd be glad to be there for ya. I've been down one of the roughest roads of anyone I know, and am nowhere near perfect, but have found strength to conquer my circus rings and can offer ya support when ya need it.
